Day 1 - Walking Around Seville..from Allison’s Perspective 😊

After 23 hours of planes, trains, and taxis we got outside to get some fresh air and walk off the jet lag. No real agenda that day, just wandering around the Santa Cruz neighborhood. I love the colors and the small cobblestone streets.

Found churros

In Seville, Café Bar El Comercio delivered churros worth the hype—golden, crisp, and sinful with rich chocolate. A true indulgence, no disappointment, just pure joy.

Planes, trains and automobiles

Well, we made it to Madrid, jumping on the bullet train (200-ish mph... we only got up to 185 that we noticed) Down to Seville... almost there and someone figured out how to sleep sitting up ... zzzzzz 🤤

Papa don’t go!

😿 Arya knows what the bags out mean... she is trying to claim a spot in my satchel. Wish we could just bring them with us.

Need tapas, wine, and churros

Getting all the bags packed... really wanted to do a major overhaul of the site before this trip but that just didn't happen. Oh well, enjoy the rickety old clunker of a site as we tour Andalusia and Catalonia.

We land in Madrid (btw a special middle finger to Delta for killing our direct flight, since that is how we picked the route to begin with). After we land we need to grab a bus/car to the train station and immediately take a bullet train down to Seville. Door to door that is going to be about 23 hours of travel 😅... these better be some good churros...

We will be in Seville for 4 nights and have two day trips from Seville to Cordoba and Ronda. Then its a another bullet train ride to Barcelona for 3 nights where we have a single day trip planned to Girona and Figueres.

We are trying to travel light this year, so no cameras or laptops, just the phones.
